“Dealing With Lust”
There have been many misconceptions as to what love is. Love and lost are very wide apart in meaning, they may feel alike but they are never the same.
There are couple of different words used in the original text of the Bible Koine Greek, that are translated ‘lust.
One is pathos,” a word for desires not just sexual, but those of the body for food and for comfort just to mention but a few.
Another is epithumia” a word for desires that are stronger cravings of our appetites.
The one who is possessed with the spirit of lust will certainly be lost In the bearing of life. Lust endangers a person’s life, glory and destiny at the end shatters the persons chances of making eternity with God in heaven. When you give in to things that are not right before God and man lustfully it will inhibit and humiliate a person from manifesting the glory of God in that person’s life. When you live a life of sexual immortality through the lustful nature in you, it becomes detrimental to your destiny. Such a person who lives this kind of life is a slave to the enemy, the devil. The delight of the devil is to see you fail God by constantly falling to sin, which has an eternal consequences in eternity in hell.
Lust is a spur to vice, which always put its affections in to a false balance, which finally attracts high gravity of destructions, unending appellations and wars.
Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite lusted over Dinah the daughter of Jacob and defiled her virginity “her pride”. This unchristian act of Shechem brought calamity upon his people and attracted negative effects on their economy. The son’s of Jacob looted their wealth and plundered their houses and also took all their little children and wives and led them away captives. The sons of Jacob acted out of anger and shame the act brought upon their family because of shechem’s sin through lusting over Dinah.
David killed his elite soldier in the army because of the sin he committed with his wife Bathsheba through lust. Idleness is one of the ark scheme the devil uses to manifest his nature in man through lust. David the king of Isreal who was supposed to be in the battle field as at the time he saw Uriah’s wife having her bath and lustfully took knowledge of the forbidden fruit. If David who was supposed to lead the war had been in the battle field he wouldn’t had fallen into sin.
Whatever you fall to lustfully can lure you into eternity in hell. Lust is forgetful of the future suffering, it is always in a hurry to take people through the forbidden path. Lust is an immoderate wantonness of the flesh, a bitter poison, a cruel pestilence, a pernicious poison that weakens the body of a person and effeminate the strength of a heroic mind.
Anything committed against the flesh and through lustful desire is sin. Lust is a pleasure bought with pains, a delight hatched with disquiet, a content passed with fear and a sin finished with sorrow. It is very important that we train ourselves through constant discipline of the flesh and our thoughts by focusing on things that has eternal value. This revelation is an accessible resources that will enable you live your life in victory, by overriding negative desires into positive desires that are aligned with God’s word.
Beware of Lust ; it corrupts both the mind and spirit, thereby making you live in enmity with God. Lust is a thing of the spirit; it is a spiritual manifestation through the flesh of an unregenerate life in Christ. But you can be free from it by accepting Jesus Christ today as your Lord an personal saviour; Knowing this revelational truth, that you are not condemned of your sins when you accept Jesus Christ. But you are already condemned when you refuse to accept Jesus Christ. Don’t pay mind to what people will say. Beloved, repentance is not a carless word is a redemptive word. So when a person confesses sin and repent of it the person becomes a redeemed of the Lord. Make the right decision today. Shalom!
THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD, I BREAK FREE FROM EVERY FORM OF LUST, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME🏼.
